The rubberised stuff has a bad reputation as it goes very hard, cracks due
to flexing and vibration, then lets in water and salt trapping it and
accelerating corrosion. Finnigans makes an underbody sealer based on Waxoyl
but is tougher and remains semi-pliable.
Oh, its called 'Finnigans Underbody Sealer with added Waxoyl'.
