Thank you Barney for explaining the mysterious locking force! Not an easy nut to crack until I pictured a notch on the hub and a matching one on the nut, then turned the assembly one time, and watched which way the notches progressed. Indeed, the nut is going clockwise (just barely) as the assembly goes counterclockwise. Cool. many thanks and happy motoring! Dave P 70 B |
