Yup, you're in trouble. The valves won't hit the piston, but the exhaust
valves will hit the top of the block. With a 1500 engine the intake valves
will also hit the block, but not with larger bores, unless you use oversize
intake valves. The exhaust valves always overlap the top of the block with
any MG B-series engine. The solution is fairly simple though. Check here:
