Conservation is a good thing, but may simply not be economically
feasible. However, I love the publications from the folks at "Practical
Classics" on MGB restoration. They will tackle just about any lost
cause!
See their book on "MGB GT Restoration" for an example of this before you
decide what to do regarding your purchase.
