 Huh, that's interesting.  Especially since you said that you had a good
spark across the plug electrodes.  I know the dialectric constant is
higher under pressure but you said it didn't arc at the cap when the
plug wire was on the plug.  Oh, well, strange things happen in the real
world.  Hope the cap fixes it for you.
