You really need to know the model, there are dozens of Weber carbs, it's
probably one of the
variations of a Weber 32/36. They came with manual choke, elect choke, and
water choke.

He's probably right. The Weber 32/36 has an accelerator pump. It won't run
right without one. If
you don't have one you may have bought part of a carb. If your mechanic
doesn't know if there is an
accelerator pump on the carb, get another mechanic.
