Actually, they had that colour for a few (too many, though, imho) years.
It's the original colour on mine, before the PO painted it 1967 Triumph
Blue, or something like that. I haven't decided where I stand on keeping
things original, but I have to admit that the blue is an improvement. Just
wish he had been more thorough - my door frames and engine compartment are
still green.
Different thread:
I've searched through the archives (back when they were working) and
couldn't seem to find any discussion on stainless steel exhausts. I find
that hard to believe, but really, I did try to find the answer before
writing the list. So here goes: I hear a lot about PECO exhausts, but
nothing about stainless steel ones. To my novice brain, it seems to make
more sense to get a stainless exhaust, once, and never have to replace it
again.
Is there some reason not to go stainless? My goals are longevity, not
performance, and I'm willing to pay more to get quality. So what is the best
exhaust system option?
