So then what's a JJ rim? I thought JJ had the little lip
that actually ends up on the inner edge of the bead to help hold it in place?
Isn't the J just the outer lip (visible) and flat on the inner edge (inside of
the tire
edge of the bead) ???

5" measured inside the rim where the bead of the tire fits.
The "J" is the name of the shape of the rim edge which indicates that
tubeless tires will work. I think it will actually be stamped on the rim.
