This may sound like a silly question - What type of oil filter do you
have? Is it on the top or the bottom?

Measure the difference in rocker arm height at the pushrod end as you
turn the engine. you ca use a small metal ruler, or a dial indicator.
The difference should be close to the same for all the valves. It's not
a precise measurement, but it should be good enough to tell you if
you're seriously losing your lobes again.
