Cheers:
I suppose the word "moronic" may have been a poor choice. However, I still
stand by the point about asking some simple questions such as those cited.
There have been times I have answered questions on this list by looking in an
encyclopedia or dictionary.
As a former teacher, I was constantly asked questions by students which they
could find themselves if they would only look. But, it is easier (laziness) to
ask than to try to find it themselves. This was especially aggravating when the
questioner has stood beside my desk for five minutes bugging everyone else that
might be there only to find out that I had just directed the three prior
students to where they could find an answer. I thought when kids became adults,
they would outgrow such habits.
I have known since I was ten years old that when two cells or batteries are
connected in series, that the new voltage is the sum of all the voltages of the
cells (batteries). And I saw that question on this list.
