Hi, all... Having finally moved my newly-purchased
1966 MGB Tourer project car back home from Maryland, I
am excited about embarking on a long-ish term
restoration.
Being a realist and knowing the demands that family
life and my job put on my time, my goal is to have it
back on the road for my 45th birthday (January 2003).
I saw a piece of advice a month or so ago about
spending at least 15 minutes every day on the project,
which is advice I intend to follow (even if it means
just taking one thing off or putting on thing back on
the car!!!)...

One interesting note is that the car (according to
BMIHT) was built in late October 1964 but apparently
was titled as a 1966. Are there many 1966 pull-handle
roadsters out there? Kind of like a 1971
split-rear-bumper car, I guess...

A couple of initial questions -

1 Any advice from other long-termers out there on how
to store parts that are removed? Just looking
for overall guidance on how NOT to lose things over
time. I plan to take a lot of pix (still and video)
of the before and during states but would appreciate
any additional advice.

2 A dumb question. I wear contacts and as such am
somewhat sensitive to getting tons of crud on my
hands since every night and morning, I stick those
same fingers into my eyes! Any good experiences
with latex gloves (I know, "wuss"!) or cleaners that
don't leave all kinds of residue on the hands?

I hope to have pix of the beginning on my web site
shortly. Thanks in advance for all the assistance and
I know the list and members websites (Barney's, Skye's
and Paul Tegler's come to mind immediately) will be
great resources for me!
