replacing the weatherstrips

Could you please explain the procedure to replace the outer rubber
weatherstrips on my GT doors? They are torn and I'm sure a lot of water
will go into the door when it rains or when I wash the car. I cannot be
sure but they appear to be attached via U-clips to the chrome strip
which, in turn, is riveted. How can I reach in there and do I have to
remove the quarterlights too? Looks like a complicated job to me...
