Umm, wouldn't that be an awfully long (and expensive) braided hose? And
would it fit through the same hole in the firewall? And be able to make
the tight turn behind the gauge? If it's not leaking and the gauge is
working, where's the problem?
You don't need to go around looking for things to modify -- IMO you'll
have plenty to do dealing with the stuff that just plain doesn't work. It
sounded like the tuning on your car falls into that category. I'd spend
my time on things that make a difference, at least at first, then go back
and "perfect" and personalize things later.
