Trevor,
Yes, my exhaust goes under the axle and so does the handbrake cable. That's
not so good is it, eh? So matters become more and more complex back there and
there's four things I've got to sort out:

a. Rear springs. Came with the car. How can I tell if they are the right ones?

b. Chekstraps. I bought the proper ones for chrome bumper. Why are they 1"
shorter than they should?
c. Exhaust. Came with the car. Any pictures on the web showing how it should
be?
d. Handbrake cable. Same as [c].

No wonder there was this interesting knocking sound on almost every bump when
I drove the car about 200 miles from the PO's home to my garage!!!
