Are we talking about a 25D side-entry cap here? There is no need to strip
the cable - the fixing screw is designed to cut through the insulation into
the core. The coil and plug ends do require either a fish-hook connector
shoved into the end of a flush-cut end (coil) or a combination of stripped
core and staple for plugs.
