Have a 39 inch belt, it is to long, generator is adjusted all the way out and at times it bangs on the hood.. Got a 38 inch belt and the generator is adjusted all the way in and the belt will not make it all the way around the required pulleys. Can't figure it out. I know that one less inch extrapolates out quite a bit after it winds it way around the pulleys, but it is only an inch less than the old belt and I have at least 1 1/2 inches of adjustment on the generator.
