Steering Rack Boot

I think this was recently covered in the group, but I missed it (new guy
here....) so I apologize for the repetition. Replacing, or rather, putting
new boots on the steering rack this weekend. The old ones were found in
tatters - no telling how long the thing had been driven without
lubrication. Seems to be OK, tho......

Anyway, after the hard part of getting the rack in a position to slide a
boot on, is there a good way of filling it with oil? The rack won't be
totally disconnected (I don't think...), the boots will be horizontal
instead of vertical, so it makes sense to me to clamp one boot side and
clamp the other side fairly tight, but with room enough to get a small
nozzle or something in there to fill the boot up with oil - then finish
clamping down tight. Is this reasonable, or is there a better way? Thanks
again for going over the basics with me.......:)
