I did some more work on the electrical problems with my 70 BGT this
weekend. I found that the backup/reverse lights were held in with chewing
gum, yeap, the DPO didn't care or realize that you can just carefully and
gently bend the contacts back. After cleaning the gum off the contacts,
bending them into position and putting new bulbs in (the old ones were
dead) they work great...
Also, I was trying to find the way to reset the tripometer, my father's 72
BGT has a small rod that comes down behind the dash but mine doesn't. Was
there a different way to reset this on a 70?
