RE: Porting and Polishing a 1800cc Head

When I did a head a few years ago, I got an old, cracked head of the 
same casting type--cheap and easy, since there are so many 
around--and cut it into sectional slices with a metal-cutting 
bandsaw.  I got a really good idea from this about where the thin 
parts of the water jacket and oil galleries were, and what the 
profiles I wanted to shape looked like in section.
