Because they have more leg room, etc than the "big" cars.  I am 6' 6", and
can tell you that I have more room in my MGBGT than in my full-size GM
pickup or my brother-in-law's Cadillac!!!
In the roadster, the leg room is still better, but the headroom with top up
is definately less!
