Eric,

The head should be retorqued cold after its been run for a fairly short
time.  Like 50 miles or so, not 7000 miles.  The idea is for the head to
heat up and expand and then cool off and contract.  This tends to loosen up
the head bolts a bit so retorqing will cinch up everything.  I would go
ahead and retorque  to the original torque settings in the same sequence as
before - starting in the middle and working out both directions with the
torque wrench.
