Aha, you have experienced the Midget-radio-auto-scan feature! I don't
know about your radio, but the dealer-installed one on the '67 I used to
work on had large, square-edged station preset buttons that really beat
hell out of your knuckles. It didn't help that the PO had installed a
big, fat aftermarket leather-wrapped shift knob. I eventually
"volunteered" a smaller walnut knob...
