Now before we all go getting overly excited - or overly pessimistic -
remember this was just announced today. The BBC's take on it is not real
positive, mostly due to labor union concerns (say aren't these the same
folks that helped BL become a world class car company, along with that
fantastic management team, a few years ago?). On the oter side of the
coin is the statements coming out of Alchemy - all positive - every thing
will be MG and be great.
This is all still very new and nobody really knows what is going to
happen. I will hope for the best, but I would have rather somebody with a
little more car saavy was the buyer (or gift receiver or whatever). See
what I mean - it still is even unclear weather Alchemy bought Rover, was
given Rover, or was paid to take Rover.
So lets hold our collective minds for a bit, and hope for the best. One
thing is for sure tho - The MG Car Company is a Real Live Entity. Where
it goes - nobody knows.
