If this sale goes through, there is no future in the US. MG is another step remote from having a dealer network in the US and the resources to build a high-volume production car. Unless it gets purchased by a large auto company, MG will never be more than a niche car in the European market, assuming it survives at all. Those of you that complained about a South Carolina built MG not being a "real" MG can sleep peacefully now.
