I ordered two tops from Prestige in England, one for my Midget and one for
my TR6. I installed the Midget top a couple weeks ago, and the TR6 top this
past weekend. (Believe me, the MGs are a lot easier to install than the
TR6.) Both tops are great quality. They come with the snaps installed and
the holes for the lift-the-dot connectors already cut. The lift-the-dot
connectors are included, and all you need to do is screw them together. I
ordered the superior vinyl, and am very pleased. After I finish my TR6
(hopefully within a couple weeks) I've got a 74 MGB to restore. I'll
definitely order the top for it from Prestige. They are in England so you
need to call them early in the morning, but I received my tops in less than
2 weeks. I also ordered a boot cover for my TR6. About 2 weeks after I got
my tops I received a bill from UPS for import duty, $16.00. The Prestige
web site is:

Good Luck. If you have any questions just let me know.

Hi Lawrie,

The Robbins top that Moss sells for ~ $279 doesn't come with the snaps
and lift-the-dot connectors installed, no installation instructions
either. Needs some expertise to install. BTDT; since I bought one from
Moss thru Classic Restorations right after I bought my B. Might as well
fork over the $479 for the one with header and fasteners if you will be
forced to have the cheaper one professionally installed.

Better is the one from England that comes with all fasteners - no rail
- for less than $200. Someone on the list has the address of the
company. I can get it from our AMGA prexy, otherwise. He uses those
tops and they look good to me.
