Alcohol Fuels.
As usual Barney Great reply, you sould write a book and put all that knowledge
down on paper for future generations.
I dont know how Alcohol would work with Petrol Vehicles but there is a
Diesel bus traveling around the world recylcing the vegetable oil from fast food
joints and alcohol. I believe that it started in the states somewere. He pulls
a trailer that contains all the gear to clean then convert the oil into fuel.
The exhaust is supposed to smell somewhat like french fries. I saw the article
in an alternative energy mag, the article even explained in detail how to do the
conversion from used chip fryer oil into diesel subsitute. Cool idea pull into
MacDonalds drive in and ask them to fillerup.
Air bags
Snip
We should wake up to the
reality that air bags are next to useless, and demand their replacement by a
safety device that works.
Snip
How about a better nut holding the wheel ?????
Air Bags arnt their to stop a collision, that is what the driver is for, When we
drive we must take responsibility for what our actions cause. If through our
inattention or bad driving we have an accident then the damage we cause is our
fault alone. No safety device can stop an accident, they are there to minimise
the damage to the occupants, if they save some lives they are worth it. You
just have to look at the stats over here with seatbelts, since it became
compulsary to wear a seatbelt were one was fitted (This covers the older
vehicles that never had them fitted), the death stats have dropped from up to
2000 per year in the 70's to about 300 in the last year, though we have had a
lot of police attention on drink driving and an increase in vehicle safety
(Collapsible Collumns, ABS, Disk Brakes, ect) we have also had a huge increase
in the number of vehicles on the road. So all in all a better outcome.
Rant mode off
Speeding in the UK.
The scary thing about this technology is that they only need to have it fitted
to about 70% of cars, as the rest will be stuck behind the ones with the speed
device fitted........
