If they show no cracks or deeply stepped areas, it's all down to whether
they work or not. If your car has a tail down stance and spends a lot of
time on the bump stops, you need new springs.

Pretty damned crucial. The straps represent the downward limit of spring
travel and without them, your rear brake pipe would be stretched, if not
pulled apart-not recommended!

Check it for leaks, play and noise. B diffs are never silent and can be
quite loose without being duff. Don't worry, they will tell you all about
their state before letting go!
Assuming all appears/sounds well, change the oil, using 80/90 weight GL4
gear oil.
