Although the Judson supercharger seems to be the most memorable period
accessory, I have heard third-hand from a couple of folks who have them that
they leave the drive belts disconnected because the power gain is minimal
and the difficulty in tuning is substantial. They look pretty nice at car
shows though.
A serach of the list archives on MGs or on the Spridgets list for Shorrocks
may provide further information for you. I think they still make SCs and
the appropriate manifolds for some LBCs.
