Thanks for the opinion Bill. I think you really hit the nail on the head. I
am familiar with the car and have invested time and money already to make the
car reliable. Getting a new one means possible surprises from the previous
owner.

Almost any MGB needs or is going to need sills sometime. A car that appears
to have good sills now may need new ones in three/five years. The sills tend
to rust from the inside out, meaning by the time you see rust fie to ten
times more rust is behind it. Proper MG will sell outer sills, castle rails
and inner stiffener for about $115 each side, add welding costs and paint
and you get a car you know has good sheet metal rather than one that looks
good now but could be needing work later. Just my opinion.

It's getting cold out and I don't have a garage available...I'm also lazy
this time of year. Can anyone recommend a good shop to do general
maintenance (change all fluids. etc.) in the Washington DC/Maryland area?

Also, I'm wrestling with what to do with my B. The sills need to be
replaced. Would it be better to just sell it and find another in better
shape or to just bite the expense? Appreciate any input. I don't want to
stick any one with bad sills but would rather invest in a car that will last
longer.
