I had my wife clock me this morning, and my speedo reads roughly 10% high. I
believe the transmission to not be the original (the car is early - - more like
a 66, but it has a full-synchro tranny), but the speedometer is likely the
original one.
The tires are stock circumference (or darn close) and seem to have the proper
"patch" on the ground at all times (oops, sorry, wrong thread)
I seem to recall that my 69 MGC had the same problem - speedo reads "high"
Also, I should note that the Tach vs. Speedo ratio is PERFECT at 18 MPH per
1000 RPM's in 4th Gear. Still, I'm just not going that fast.....
