I bought my '76 B rather this way. Overdrive, wires, GREAT body. NO
engine (overzealous used car salesman spun a bearing running it up a
mountain). I left an offer and got it for $750. That was in 1991. By
now, my total investment is closer to $6000 but it's probably worth $4000
and I've gotten 8 years and 50,000 miles of daily driving (and 3000-mile
trips) out of it. Crunch the numbers - anybody know a cheaper way to have
this kind of fun?
