...when you release the clutch, the engine stalls?
Does the car roll freely on it's own? Could be the rear
brakes rusted on.

Generally pumping oil out there means worn rings
causing lots of blowby.
It could also be just a crankcase ventilation problem,
the type of vent you have depends on the market your
car was originally made for.
