Have someone crank the car while you slowly rotate the
distributor.
When it starts, you can fine tune it a bit to make it
run smoothly enough to whip out the timing light.
You might want to wear a thick glove when doing this. Getting
a HV spark won't hurt you, but it isn't fun. It'll only happen
if the spark wires are showing.
