Hi Doug, I used a Kero-Sun heater quite a few years ago. Still have it. As I recall, there isn't supposed to be any visible flame above the wick. You raise the wick assy to light the wick, then, after it is uniformly lighted, lower it until there's no flame, just a glowing wick. No soot that way and the wick lasts longer. I should still have the manual. I'll look for it if you want a cy. CR |
