In visiting my father this Thanksgiving, I brought down my B. I vaguely
remember him having a midget or something once, but since then it's been
"regular" cars, albeit imports vs. US. My early fascination with MGs and
LBCs really date first to a local doctor that had a MG, and later on as a
high-school student to a particular girl with a green MG. I don't really
associate LBCs with my parents.
However, it turns out my father owned quite a few LBCs, including a Triumph
TR3, a TR6, and a Triumph Spitfire (this is what he owned when I was in it,
never a midget), also an Austin Healy and a MG Magnette. Apparently it's
in the blood.
Interestingly too, he said the Austin Healy was probably the worst of the
bunch, and of them all, he regrets ever selling the Magnette - the MG
Magnette was arguably the best by far.
Fwiw.
