In my 77, the inertia switch is a cylindrical device, I'm guessing at 3"
long and an inch in diameter, and it's mounted vertically on the firewall in the
vicinity of the bonnet release handle. The reset is on the top of the switch.
If you have a Moss catalog (and you should, they're free), the switch is shown
as Item #21 on Page 56 of catalog MGB-12.
