I bought a set of those some 10 years ago, since when the car has done some
25k in wet and dry, and even salt on a couple of occasions. It's used less
in the winter but still comes out on a sunny Sunday morning. The wheels
have never been balanced, the front tyres have been changed once, and I have
never had any shake or shimmy up to 100+. I did have the head pull off one
spoke a couple of years ago. The quality of the plating isn't as good as I
would like - there are a few small pits developing, but only if I look
close, the hubs more than the rims. I have never used anything more than
cold water to clean them and car polish to, well, polish them, never
anything abrasive like Solvol Autosol.
