So what is it about SUVs? Some people will absolutely refuse to own anything
but - part of their image, I suppose.
They seem to think that if they owned a more sensible and useful minivan,
they'd get called 'Mr. Mom' or somesuch. The actual percentage of yuppie
4x4s that ever need 4 wheel drive must, I would say, be in the single digits;
the rest of the time, the front diff is just sitting there taking up space
and lowering mileage.
Having had both, IMHO there is no comparison - the minivan wins out hands
down for use as a tow car and baggage handler, and the Chryslers, at least
are more car than truck.
Anyone understand the psychology of the committed truck owners?
