Congratulations on your B and your first event! There will be plenty more in
your future. Good buy on the hard top, too. Sorry, I can't help on painting
it.
As far as the brakes, a pulsing brake pedal can be from a warped rotor. Did
you renew the brakes on the car? When you mount the rotors, always use a
torque wrench to avoid warping them.
The noise you hear may be a brake pad rubbing a little on the rotor. This
can be normal and will cause no problem. It could also mean that a flexible
brake hose is collapsed and not allowing the brake fluid to return. This
will wear out the pads quickly. If you replaced all the hoses, this is
probably not the problem. Does the car pull to one side when you apply the
brakes? Also, check the adjustment of the rear brakes.

<< Saturday i attended my first lbc event, the TRiangle British Car Show in
just outside of Raleigh, NC. Nice to finaly be able to compare what my car
has with others. Picked up a Parish hard top fpr $40 US. The vinyl was in
poor shape and the window glass has some dammage, but it has cleaned up real
well. I have removed the cracked vinyl and adhesive and am ready to paint. I
am currently planing to use a gel coat for fiberglass boats. Any opinions or
suggestions?
On the way home from the meet, I heard a slight whining/squeaking sound
from the front left wheel area. It occured while crusing in the 30-40mph
range, above that the road noise was too much to tell. Also, some vibration
up front on hard braking (rotors?) Engine gets realy loud above 50mph so cant
tell above that, so took it easy comming home. Nothing upon accel./decel.
This morning, I went to move the car so my wife could get in the driveway.
There is a noise comming from the brake pedal. Sounds like air pushing
through something (thought it was the fan first) goes away when I push on the
pedal comes back when I let off of it. Anyone experience this? >>
