Further to Neil's comments....
MGF's in Aus are sold through a chain of dealers called MG Garages - which
as someone pointed out, just shows Rover Australia's lack of knowledge of MG
history.
The Sydney MG Garage has a restaurant, MG Cafe, attached to it. It is right
next to the showroom, with big glass windows between the two, so there's
always a couple of F's in the showroom, and usually one "classic" of some
sort. At the moment, it's a TC. The restaurant also has a stack of MG
memorabillia on the walls - old advertising material, old newspaper and
magazine articles, even an old enamelled MG Service plaque.
The restaurant is a bit trendy at the moment, which is a shame as the food
is bloody great (not to mention the decor) In fact, MG Cafe has just scooped
the award for the best restaurant in Sydney - which is, by the way, saying
something.
It's not cheap, but definately a great restaurant. The MG tie-in just makes
it better, IMHO.......
