Hopefully not a loaded question.
Has anyone installed a Pertronix Ignitor in an MGA and found that
the timing was now about 45 degrees BTDC? There is not room
available to turn the dizzy enough to compensate.
In talking with other owners via the MG Cars Web bulletin board this
may not be an isolated problem. The theory is there may be a problem
with the alignment of the magnetic elements relative to the slot in the
dizzy cam for the rotor.
Has anyone installed on of these beasts without a timing issue?
BTW, this is on the positive ground kit.
