Tyson.........
Not being a fan of a/c, I recently removed from my MGB roadster the remains
of the dealer-installed unit. I also have no understanding of how a/c works,
so am not familiar with the terminology. (I'm from the old school - if it's
hot, enjoy it. If it's humid, move to California.....................)
I removed the two outer vents and hoses and the big unit that sat above the
passenger's feet (to which all the ducts connected, and inside which is a
radiator-like gizmo that had a heavy pipe leading out into the engine
compartment). I also removed the two switches from the dash, one with a
thermocouple attached to it, the other with a mini-wiring harness.
Supposedly, the previous owner of my car has all the underhood pieces at
home and can get them to me. All that's left on the car is the plate on the
dash that has the BL logo and the words air conditioned.
Is any of this of any interest to you? If so, tell me what you need - in
language that a non-a/c-familiar person can comprehend - and make me an
offer.
