All I can say for the 190's is they were RUSTTRAPS, watch for covered
repairs, resprays, filler, poor fitting panels, sub-frames. If he says it
was restored, get pictures. If he says it was just resprayed to "freshen"
the paint, say ca-ca. Be prepared, bring a magnet!

I have run upon a 1962 Mercedes 190 SL Convertible that I am going to
look at soon. Any of you MG folks have any tips or hints as to what to
look for ? It is a French spec. car with weber side drafts and looks
good in the pictures. It's been on display and in storage for "many"
years. I would guess that the typical hydraulics and rubber will need
replaced. I am looking for Mercedes specific problem areas and any good
parts suppliers.
