On your rings, try to use a ring installer. I don't know your rings
specifically, but some rings (total seal for example) react badly to being
twisted and slid across a piston.
Get ahold of ARP for your torques! .
The ones I used go 90# on the mains with arp lube, 145# with 30w oil on the
threads, (and don't do dry!!) Rods are 38# arp lube, 55# w/30weight. Head
Studs 40# arp lube, 60# w/30weight. Rocker studs 20# arp, 30# 30w.
These were the specs for part numbers MS5B54 (mains) BEB-1 (rods), HS4B42
(head and rockers)
Your mileage may vary.. so check it out first. As you see, the torques are
radically different than stock. (and they work great!) If you torque to stock
fiques, you may lose your bearings, etc, as a result of them not being pulled
down enough.
Wish I could come play... I'm a former SC county resident and still miss
certain things there, mostly certain roads and eateries.
(but not enough to move away from my gorgeous niche in much more northern
california....)

It's been a frustrating evening, rather than doing any "real" work
I've been trying to track down assembly instructions for the Venolia
Pistons (I don't think that there is anything fancy about installing
the rings), the torque specs for the ARP fasteners that I bought from
Seven (It doesn't actually say which torque settings to use off of
the chart) and such like.
