Gotta stick my oar in on this one. ;^) Having done and been in on a
few engine swaps in my time I know that there has to be a lot of
planning and attention to detail in order for the swap to work out
satisfactorily. This argues for the well travelled route in that one
can avpid some pitfalls because others have documented them.
OTOH, there's nothing like doing one well and having the only one like
it (for a time). My prob is that I've never been entirely satisfied
with a swap. Seems like there's always something that I've felt I could
have done a little differently to make it better. Just a malcontent, I
guess......;^)
