I think it's fair to say that the majority of the listers here drive their MG's
more so than let them sit around.

I for one, after exstensive work making sure the running gear was in good shape
am averaging 13,000 miles a year on my '73 BGT. An yes... it it still 'drooled'
over
by on lookers when ever I pull into a parking spot at the mall or parts store.

The majority of compliments or comments seem to come from 'ol timers'
...impressed
with the condition of the car. To me, they're the real critics. Seeing an old
car they liked
years ago, they critique them metally with an image much more perfect then
these cars ever
were.

When I see an elderly women wack her husband in the arm and tell him... "hey
look at that.....
...remember when..." It's heart warming to see my humble beast bring others
fond memories.

Sorry for the non-advice here, Tom, but this sentence caught my eye
(leapt off the 'screen' at me).

What are you going to be doing with the poor thing the rest of the
time????

Last Summer I was putting about 1,000 MILES a month on my '68 'B ... and
I think you will come upon variations of an often used phrase on this
list that might convince you to do a little more driving than you
suggest...

Don't just look at it.... DRIVE IT!

But I think I might be a little premature in telling you this as I think
that once you get your LBC and drive it once, NOTHING will stop you
driving it... and driving it... and driving it!
