HELP!!! (Electrical Demons)

Strange things are rampnat on my MGB.  Driving this evening, the guages
quit.  I replaced the fuse and it immediately blew as soon as the
ignition was turned on.  

There are two sets of wires that plug into the fused side of that
circuit (3rd from top).  The stop lamps and turn signals work.  The
reverse lamps do not.

I think I have a toasted wire between the fuse block and voltage guage
stabilizer.  Any other opinions?
