I'll change the fuel filter today... but if I'm using Chevron's Supreme (with
Techron) do I still need to use an additive? I'd been away from CA gas (with
MTBE) for a few days when the problem reappeared.
The last two times this happened, both the valves were adjusted as well as the
carb - one mechanic said the carb needed to be adjusted because of the altitude
(in Albuquerque) and then when I was in Los Angeles, the mechanic adjusted it
because I was no longer in the altitude. I need to learn how to adjust it
myself.... on the road no less.
I'll also check out the distributor cap for connections and see about trading it
out with the spare to see if it makes a difference.
