EGR system

 I was wondering if you all could give me the run down on the EGR sys, what
is involved in renewing this system, and is it worth the trouble. DPO says
it is non-essential, and not really worth working on. Since I have uncovered
some of his handy work now, what do the resident list experts think about
this subject. I know the manual says it should only be done by a
dealer....just our luck fresh out of dealers here in Tallahassee Fla, *hahaha*
