bob,
if it is any consolation you have 3 choices with this trans;
1) the gear set in the c o/d trans is different than all others , the number
should be on the lay gear 22b 565... if so many b racers use that entire gear
set for better performance, a better advantage on the track with no visible
mods, and is worth about 450-500 by itself. it is a closer ratio than a
standard b.( you must use the entire internal gear set - do not mix and
match-it is a set)
2) you also have the o/d (presumably rebuilt) with with all the proper pieces
to make your non o/d b trans
an o/d trans. your tranny guy should be able do it for you...they are the
same unit as the b - no difference,( just the rear flange )
by doing one and two you would have achieved a more high performance unit and
would be faster tnan other b's in the same category.
3) sell it and start over
either way good luck,
-- by the way i have a "C" o/d trans that has the proper gear set not
rebuilt for $450 if you sell that one and still want the gear set ( plus many
c parts if you want to sell your "B" and buy a 145 bhp "C" )
best regards
